Description
This workshop will be held at The Hub on the Heath, 10 Adastral Square, Canford Heath BH17 8SA.
In this workshop we will go through all the basic techniques you need to know to enable you to print onto fabric and paper using Indian Printing Blocks. We will also go through ideas for using block printing etc.
There will be a selection of blocks and paint to use – first we will practise on some scrap fabric, practising the technique and design and then printing on to a tea towel. If you have done my block printing workshop before and would like to bring your own fabric blanks to print on then choose Workshop only option. Please note my fabric paints will not print well on dark fabrics and a tight woven cotton fabric is best to print on.
A hot drink is included in the price of the workshop – additional drinks etc can be purchased.
I have a selection of blocks to use, various seed heads and flowers, beach hut, camper vans, bunting, stars, unicorn, butterfly, bicycle, bees and birds and an alphabet set.
Please note – we will be using fabric paints – they don’t come out of clothing, so please don’t wear your Sunday best! Feel free to bring an apron!
