New for 2024 – block printing and brunch – it was so successful last time we thought we would run again
This workshop will be held at The Hub on the Heath, 10 Adastral Square, Canford Heath BH17 8SA.
In this workshop we will go through all the basic techniques you need to know to enable you to print onto fabric and paper using Indian Printing Blocks. We will also go through ideas for using block printing etc.
There will be a selection of blocks and paint to use – first we will practise on some scrap fabric, practising the technique and design and then printing on to either a tea towel, cushion cover** or scarf (white) for adults, or a tote bag for the children* (suitable 8 to 16 years) – choose your option at booking.
I have a selection of blocks to use, various seed heads and flowers, beach hut, camper vans, bunting, stars, unicorn, butterfly, bicycle, bees and birds and an alphabet set.
Please note – we will be using fabric paints – they don’t come out of clothing, so please don’t wear your Sunday best! Feel free to bring an apron!
After a couple of hours of printing, brunch will be served! Please see the menu attached. One meal from the menu is included along with a hot or cold drink. If you are booking a child’s place, one meal from the mini menu is included plus one hot or cold drink.
Additional drinks and food items can be purchased on the day.
*this workshop is suitable for children aged 8 and up – if booking a child’s space an adult place must also be booked and care of the child remains with the adult with them at all times.
** cushion pad is not included – you will need a 45cm x 45cm cushion pad
