This workshop will be held at The Hut,20 Leedam Road Bournemouth BH10 6HP
In this workshop we will go through all the basic techniques you need to know to enable you to print onto fabric and paper using Indian Printing Blocks. We will also go through ideas for using block printing etc.
There will be a selection of blocks and paint to use – first we will practise on some scrap fabric, practising the technique and design and then printing on to either a set of 3 drawstring bags (think reusable gift bags) plus gift tags or bring your own blanks to print on (please note fabric needs to have a close weave and be in light in colour).
I will be bringing a selection of ribbons to thread through the drawstring bags to make them more unique.
I have a selection of blocks to use, various seed heads and flowers, beach hut, camper vans, bunting, stars, unicorn, butterfly, bicycle, bees and birds and an alphabet set. I will also have a selection of Xmas blocks.
Please note – we will be using fabric paints – they don’t come out of clothing, so please don’t wear your Sunday best! Feel free to bring an apron!
